Welcome to the Rondo Early Childhood Special Education
Program (Rondo ECSE)!
This
is an exciting place and we are glad to welcome you and your child into our
program. The following information should describe our program and make
things run more smoothly this year.
The
Rondo ECSE program has two distinct programs: The Parent/Infant program
and the Classroom program.
1.
The Parent/Infant program is designed to provide services to you and your child
in the home or daycare setting. This program focus upon providing you as
parents with the vital information you need to help your child proceed upon
their developmental journey. Michelle Dockter is the team leader for this
program at Rondo.
2.
The Classroom program is designed to provide service to your child in a
preschool classroom setting. Your child's educational needs help us
determine which program setting and the amount of service that is necessary to
meet your child’s educational goals. The team leaders for the Classroom
program are Carolyn Buska and Anne Kelsey. They serve two roles at Rondo,
team leaders and classroom teachers.
3.
Classroom school hours are 9:45 to 12:15 for the AM session and 1:30 to 4:00 for the PM
session. Your child can ride the bus to school if you choose. They
may be required to use a car seat, harness or seat belt (depending on weight and
safety) while riding the bus to and from school. Call the transportation
department with questions about the bus outside school hours. Their
number is (651) 696-9600.
4.
School office hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. All staff members at
Rondo have a voice mail box and will respond to your questions. Try to
leave messages during school hours so staff can spend their time with your
children during class hours.
As
always I will be here to answer your questions or help direct you to the person
who has the answer. You can reach me at (651)325-2692. Leave a
message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Rondo ECSE is a program
available to families with young children aged from 0 to 5
with delays in one or more areas of development. Rondo ECSE
students receive services from early childhood teachers, physical
therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists at
school or home settings.
